The 2024-2025 Duquesne New Venture Challenge (DNVC) has selected five finalists from a highly competitive pool of applicants. The prestigious national entrepreneurship competition, hosted by the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, aims to drive innovation and empower early-stage startups. This year's finalists include Clean Plate Innovations, EASI, PinPointDX, Pittsburgh Coastal Energy, and Reclamation Factory, Inc., each developing unique and innovative ventures with significant potential for impact. The finalists will have access to various resources, including a makerspace with prototyping equipment, consultation with a Duquesne University Small Business Development Center mentor, and free access to business plan software. On April 12, 2025, they will present their business plans to a panel of distinguished judges, competing for cash prizes exceeding $40,000 and additional benefits such as legal education and consulting services. The DNVC has solidified its reputation as a catalyst for entrepreneurial success, providing emerging ventures with resources and recognition. With a record-breaking 150+ entries this year, the competition continues to drive innovation and fast-track business growth. The winner will be announced at a private awards reception in late April, marking the culmination of the sixth annual DNVC.
