Startups Raise Funds, Expand Operations

Several Indian startups have recently raised funds or expanded their operations. Beams Fintech Fund led a $70 million round in InsuranceDekho, while XYXX raised fresh funds led by Niveshaay Sambhav Fund. Additionally, Falca crossed Rs 350 crore in revenue in FY24, although its losses increased threefold. KKR-owned Leap India also saw its profit surge fourfold in FY24. Climate tech startup FluxGen raised Rs 28 crore in a pre-Series A round, and round-up investing platform Deciml raised $3 million in a seed round. Furthermore, M2P Fintech is set to acquire Mad Street Den in a distress sale. These developments indicate a continued interest in investing in Indian startups, despite some challenges faced by the industry. The Indian startup ecosystem has also seen some notable acquisitions and funding announcements. Paypal Ventures-backed Mintoak acquired Digiledge, and GaragePlug acquired review management platform Freshreview. Moreover, Aviral Bhatnagar's AJVC raised a Rs 100 crore fund for early-stage startups, highlighting the ongoing support for new and innovative ventures in the country.
